Vibe Coder in the Loop (Season 7 Episode 1)

Today in User Space

We end up covering quite a range of topics. First up, a question. When you want to use Caddy from the distribution's repo, it can't really be Ubuntu because it's old and crusty. We talk through a few options, but want to hear from you! Fedora? Arch? Alpine? What do you recommend?

Then, three months of pent up rage, aggression, worry and ethical concerns in and around AI and LLMs. This is a bit of a ride, and it has our usual meandering vibe to it, but it brings up so many good questions that there aren't any good answers to. Underneath it all, yes, we know that there are environmental issues as well as ethical ones, but neither of those are stopping many from using the technology. So where do we go from here? Those are the questions and thoughts we get into.

And finally, Internet Explorer! Thought it was dead? Think again. It's still a zombie, but even that will come to and end in a couple of years. We use this as a springboard to talk about Orion and Servo, and take a few shots at Google because they deserve it ;)

Overall, a great show, if a little long, but a good time was had which means we're just gonna keep doing it over and over again. Hope you enjoy!
